The Cooper Robertson-designed Florence County Museum in Florence, South Carolina opened to the public on Saturday, October 11th. Formerly located in an adapted house, the new downtown museum presents art, science, and history in a blended narrative targeting its regional audience.
“The Museum has already served as a catalyst for the economic revitalization of downtown Florence,” said Scott Newman, AIA, Cooper Robertson’s Partner-in-Charge of the project. “The project is proving that good design brings value, and that culture and education can be effective economic drivers.”
