Barnett’s vast expertise is at the intersection of urban design and data-design strategy. Prior to his current position, Barnett led design teams for large scale master plans and other complex urban projects, including the transit-oriented development (TOD) area plan for Kirkland, Washington, and the Sound Transit light-rail extension in Seattle. Prior to his 15 years in urban design, Barnett earned his master’s in community and regional planning, and in urban design from the University of Texas—Austin. He previously degreed with a philosophy major at the University of Alabama.
